The atmosphere of the conference space also matters. If the event is longer than a day, nearby accommodations, restaurants, and attractions should be considered. You should also consider the venue’s location and how this might impact travel, parking, and public transportation. The capacity of your event and the venue size required to meet it is the most important. What To Look For In a Conference Room Rentalīefore booking a conference rental space there are many factors you must consider. The size of your event, however, is the largest cost factor, and spaces that accommodate over 100 individuals can have rates that go up to, and sometimes over $300/hour. These prices are also heavily reliant on the necessary technology for your event (WIFI, projectors, speakers, and microphones), service fees, on-site tech support, parking costs, any catering and/or refreshments, and the duration of your meeting. Full-day rentals can range from $400-$700 for smaller rooms, and up to $1,500 for larger ones. While many locations offer full-day rentals, you can typically end up with a cheaper price with by-the-hour rentals. Conference room rentals can cost anywhere from $75-$250/hour. Thanks to Tom Leys for that smart idea using a side-effect-less dict constructor for extend. """Create a new dictionary with a's properties extended by b, To remove the assignment, you could do it thus: def extend(a,b): EDIT: To add some additional information, here's something I've tried so far. tdefault(key, default) - Instance method return value of the given key, if it exists in the Otherwise, add the given key with the default value. Of course, you could simple note that a.extend(b) is nearly the same as b.update(a) a=b. If we added the following code in the middle of our original script we could see that after the addition, we still have 6 tuples. Then we take the two lists of tuples, add them together using the + operator. Each tuple holding one key-value pair from the dictionary. Remember that in the future you just want to remember why you did something and you won't care much if you spare some microseconds. Note that some languages call this method defaults or inject, as it can be thought of as a way of injecting b's values (which might be a set of default values) in to a dictionary without overwriting values that might already exist. We used the items method of the >dictionary object that returns a list of tuples. The answer in my opinion is no.Looping through key, values in a dict is already efficient and assigning columns with dfk v is more readable. a.update(b) overwrites a's values, and so isn't a good choice for extend. However, I want to point out that many times I have seen the extend method of mapping/set objects desire that in the syntax a.extend(b), a's values should NOT be overwritten by b's values. (Of course it does not make a copy of the dictionary to be added, but you can modify this behaviour be appending py () ). You can add an item to a dictionary or update the value of an existing item as follows. The code for the function is then incredibly simple: def addstudent (dictionarylist, studentdictionary): dictionarylist.append (studentdictionary) return dictionarylist. As others have mentioned, a.update(b) for some dicts a and b will achieve the result you've asked for in your question. Add or update an item in a dictionary by specifying a key. If she is your doctor, you are very luck indeed! FWIW.I did not call the company that makes Cat Sip, I emailed them and they sent me a formal written reply. Pierson for the contributions she has made to help us better understand the field of feline diabetes and have nothing but the ultimate respect for her. Pierson meant that a teaspoon or so would not do much damage - as long as you keep the volume tiny, tiny. Just passing along this info for those of you who use Catsip. If anyone you know uses this as a treat for their non-diabetic kitties, they might want to buy whichever is cheaper (I’m guessing grocery store).Īlso, thinking that maybe a tiny amount (like a teaspoon as a treat, not a cup) might not affect BG levels much – but am not the expert on this. So just a heads up that, according to the manufacturer of Catsip, the Lactaid milk in your grocery store is the same thing – without the taurine supplement added. Catsip is identical with Lactaid Milk, with taurine added.” The manufacturer said, “Catsip has nothing in it except 1) lowfat milk 2) lactase enzyme, and 3) taurine. It is 102 calories per cup and 11.66 grams of carb, which calculates to 46% carb (each carb gram = 4 calories). I was hoping this would be a low carb alternative to regular milk, but the manufacturer says no. Unfortunately it has the same number of carbs per cup as regular and lowfat milk – 11.66 grams. Just passing along some info I got today from the manufacturer of Catsip (lactose free milk for cats). I have to admit to being impressed that NoteAbility seems to be largely the product of one individual. Particularly if you are writing something with modern or avant-garde notation, you’re going to like NoteAbility Pro’s output. Where NoteAbility really shines is in engraving output. If you are willing to purchase an audio library, playback can be as good as you want it to be. Whether or not you like this application will come down to whether you are the type of person who wants the interface to get as out of your way as possible or you like having all features right up front where you can easily get to them - even if you may never use them. I found the interface more distracting than necessary, and I spent and undue amount of time trying to figure out how to turn off some of the visual feedback that I could have spent writing music. I did not personally enjoy working in NoteAbility Pro. Additionally, NoteAbility Pro has an extensive online manual to help you get started. Scores can play back as standard MIDI files, and I also noticed the application supports Audio Units for higher quality playback. You can also notate a number of alternative ways, even including gesture recognition. Notes can be input traditionally or as graphic items, allowing for a number of modern notation possibilities. You can view your score as single pages or in a multi-page view, but there doesn’t seem to be a scrolling view like Sibelius, Encore, and Finale offer. (Except, surprisingly, shape notes.) The drawback is a very distracting and cluttered interface that may take some time time to decipher. Every inch of the layout is customizable, and every customization is one or two clicks away. NoteAbility Pro gives you fine control over exactly how your score is going to look, from note spacing to beam thickness. This is one feature-packed piece of software. That this is a tool written by a composer for his own needs and workflow really shows in how much minutia is displayed front-and-center. I find it completely overwhelming, but I also have to tell myself that this software is written by a professional composer and that it fits his workflow.Īs far as I can tell, NoteAbility Pro is an OS X-only app, but, like the other applications I’ve looked at so far, it takes no advantage of recent OS X features. Everything is front and center, and every feature is treated with equal importance in the interface. NoteAbility Pro takes this to an extreme, however. You just want to sit down and get to work, not memorize dozens of keyboard commands and learn a new interface. I understand the desire to minimize the effort behind discoverability when writing an app for non-technical individuals. Starting up a new score was a whole new adventure. They are good options, mind you, but it took a good thirty seconds for me to even discover how to get out of this box and into a score. My initial reaction upon launching NoteAbility Pro was, “What on Earth am I looking at?” When you create a new score, NoteAbility Pro presents a wizard filled to the brim with options. It’s a notation app that does about anything you’d want, and all of that functionality is front and center when you launch it. Notate anything from simple melodies to complex avant garde orchestral music, play the score on your MIDI synthesizer or using Quicktime Musical Instruments and print a publishable copy of your score on any OS-X compatible printer. NoteAbility combines both musical intelligence and graphical flexibility in a direct and intuitive graphical user interface. …It is easily the most sophisticated music notation software available on any platform. Here’s how Keith Hamel, professor at the University of British Columbia and NoteAbility Pro’s creator, describes it: For better or worse, NoteAbility Pro is an application that wears all of its features on its sleeve. In the first frame of the animation, in Blender's pose mode, change the arms pose from a T-pose to an A-pose, by rotating the character's left arm 45 degrees, and rotating the character's right arm -45 degrees. The standard rest pose for an MMD armature is an A-pose, with the character's arms being rotated downwards at an approximately 45 degree angle.īefore you export the animation to VMD, you need to create an A-Pose. In the rest pose of the armatures of most BVH files, the arms of the character are outstretched at a 90 degree angle from its body in a T-pose. The rest pose of the armature in a BVH animation may be different than the rest pose of an MMD model. In mmd_tools_helper add-on is a Bones renamer operator, which you can use to do a mass renaming of bones from one armature type to another. Here is the download link to mmd_tools_helper add-on: So if you want to animate MMD characters, you will need to rename the bones from your BVH animation to MMD Japanese bone names. You need the names of bones in your BVH armature animation to be the same as the names of the bones in the character who you are trying to animate. In Blender's Import BVH options panel, enable the ScaleFPS option. When you import a BVH animation into Blender, an "Import BVH" options panel appears at the lower left. Before you import a BVH animation into Blender, set the frame rate of your scene to 30 FPS (under the Render tab of Blender's Properties Window.) Blender automaticallly converts an inputted fraction to a decimal number.Ī BVH animation may have a different frame rate than the normal frame rete of a VMD animation, which is 30 FPS (30 frames per second). When you convert a DAZ/Poser BVH animation to VMD, you can input 1/7 as the Scale value and 1/7 is an adequate approximation. The information on this page can give you some idea of how you may need to calculate the correct scaling for your imported BVH animation: In Blender's Import BVH options panel, beside the word "Scale", input the Scale that you want. The scale(size) of the armature in a BVH file may be different from the scale of the armature of an MMD model. If you are converting a DAZ/Poser BVH to VMD, you do not need to change these 2 options away from their default values. If that doesn't give you a correct-looking animation, then you need to experiment with these 2 import options until you find the option which works. Try the default options (-Z forward, Y up). The X,Y,Z axes and + and - directions of bone rotations may not be defined in the same way in a BVH file as they are defined in an MMD model. Open this file (from the Blender program folder) in a text editor, such as Notepad++:įile = open(file_path, 'rU', encoding = 'utf-8') This simple bug fix will work if your BVH file is a unicode utf-8 text file: If you try to import a BVH file which has Japanese bone names, it won't import into Blender, and you will get an error message. Here is the information which I have about these problems and how to solve them, followed by step-by-step instructions for converting BVH to VMD: LIST OF POSSIBLE ISSUES AND THEIR SOLUTIONS: There are several issues which can give you problems in making this conversion. Converting BVH animations to VMD animations can be a bit complicated, and you will need some patience and perseverance to succeed with it. So that's why swap has caught my attention, and I just felt a random urge to draw up the iconic skeleton duo. So then why do I find swap compelling? For the simply fact that I've always found personality swap scenarios to be hilarious in any setting, similarly I enjoy Underfell for my undying love of evil twin settings. (because good God there are way too many of them) After awhile they just become so muddled and stupid and I see no point in adding so many cans of paint to something that doesn't need it. Now, first off, I'm not really "into" any of the myriad of AU's out there for Undertale. So, recently I've been getting into the Underswap AU. The creator of UnderSwap has ceased all relation to the AU due to their dislike of the community, leaving the AU now with no owner :(.UnderSwap is often referred to as "CanonSwap" due to the wide spread misinformation and fanon that surrounds the AU.UnderSwap Sans has appeared in many popular fan works, though usually with his appearance changed.Sans, according to UnderSwap's owner "still likes puns", insinuating that not only is UnderSwap based on some Fanon Undertale, but also that Papyrus in this AU does not enjoy puns. Sans and Toriel's relationship is most likely similar to that of Papyrus and Asgore in Undertale, though they may also possibly be closer in UnderSwap Sans and Temmie likely have the same relationship as Papyrus and Flowey have in Undertale Sans and Alphys' relationship in UnderSwap is the same as in Undertale, with Alphys wanting to let Sans into the Royal Guard, but is unable to, in UnderSwap, it is because Sans' stats are too low, causing him to be very fragile. Sans and Papyrus' relationship in UnderSwap is the same as in Undertale except swapped, with Sans being annoyed by his brothers lazy attitude, he's also unhappy that his brother then him, leading to Papyrus to often be hunched over. Sans and the humans relationship also has very little information on it, what is known is that he sets up multiple puzzles for them, wants to capture them, can date them, and in genocide, refuses to fight them, instead offering them a hug. The human in UnderSwap has no information on them, but it is highly head cannoned that Frisk swaps with Chara. When killed, instead of his body turning to dust and his head falling to the floor akin to Undertale Papyrus, he begins to blood a red, blood like substance, while on his knees. We know very little about UnderSwap Sans' in battle actions beside the fact he seems to be more animated then Undertale Papyrus, holding a cyan bone and jumping around in the first art of the AU. He's also biologically different from Undertale Sans, with his mouth being able to open when talking, showing a bright cyan tongue the same colour as his eyes. Unlike Undertale Papyrus, he does not wear gloves of any kind, and has his skeletal hands out. Sans wears a ripped scarf with a long cape, along with grey armour with cyan trims and a white shirt underneath, he wears dark blue pants that tuck into his blue boots with dark blue soles and heels. Sans is a fairly short and overweight skeleton with a large mouth and eyes, tall nose, and eyebrows, along with that his pupils are two hollow blue circles inside each other. |
